I’m working on a series of anatomy worksheets for you. The latest one I’ve completed is the Anatomy of the (Human) Foot.
The foot has 28 bones, but we only need to learn seven groupings for the bones, as many are duplicated (for example, the metatarsus is comprised of 5 metatarsal bones)
The bones in a human foot are grouped as:
- Phalanges
- Metatarsals
- Cuboid
- Cuneiform
- Navicular
- Talus
- Calcaneus
Here is an interactive site for learning the bones of the human foot:
To understand the groupings, and to learn more details, visit this site with your students that will help with learning anatomy (is that link showing through as a strikethrough for you, too? If so, ignore it, the link is working). It helps with learning the bone locations.
A suggestion For teaching foot anatomy to younger students:
- Visit the interactive foot to learn the bones of the human foot.
- You, the teacher, or the student, if able, will write the bone labels in colored pencils (or use crayons to draw a box around the name).
- The child will then color the bone with the same color as the label.
a suggestion for teaching foot anatomy to older students:
Simply have the older ones fill in the boxes! They’ll also learn from the foot interaction, too.
here is a preview of the worksheets you’ll download
One worksheet has blank boxes for labeling. See above for the list of bones to put in the boxes.

The other worksheet (below) has the labels filled in already. Print this one out to help with labeling the one above, or use it with younger children (as suggested above).

how to Download the foot anatomy printables
To access the worksheets, fill out your name (a username is fine) and email (which I, and only I will use, and only to occasionally tell you when I’ve created more things for you), and click Download (if you’ve filled out a form on this site before, for other printables or for our newsletter, don’t worry, you won’t be signed up multiple times – the system deletes duplicates. I have to request email addresses to reduce bots)
