Free Printable: a gradient weekly planner

by interest· printables

I use this simple weekly planner in our homeschool, and wanted to share it with you (it’s free!)

I had some fun creating a new printable for our homeschool, and thought I’d share it with you! This free printable is a weekly planner that can be used for any reason at all, but it was created especially for homeschooling. This planner only includes week days, so that we are focused and will leave our weekends free for other fun things to do (every day is a learning day!).

My weekly planner is simple. Just how I like my planners!

As I’ve said before, our family’s pursuit of education is rather organic. Everything is educational. So this weekly planner is really really simple. It just has days of the week on it, and big spaces for writing whatever you’d like to write into it. I use it as a business planner as well as a homeschool planner.

how we use this gradient weekly planner in our homeschool

To give you an idea of how we use this weekly planner in our homeschool, I collected subjects from our favorite (free!) Charlotte Mason curriculum (see below). Our daughter, 16, drew the skull on her own yesterday evening while studying the 19th-century book, Grey’s Anatomy. She said she’s studying anatomy so she can draw portraits more realistically. I love seeing what learning they come up with on their own!

to print out our free weekly planner…

Simply go to this link, view the PDF file, and print it! How easy is that?

Want some ideas for scheduling your homeschool?

I wrote all about that. The bottom line: find the schedule that works best for you, and don’t be afraid to switch it up from year to year, or semester to semester – or, hey, month to month!

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. My husband and I owned a garden center for a few years while also homeschooling. After that, I had an online business while homeschooling. We did not “only work … Read More about Balancing Homeschooling and Working From Home – a Realistic Approach

making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them. Also, it was a hassle packing up the baby and toddler to commute the school kids from two different school locations, … Read More about Going from Public School to Home School? Here’s My Advice
