Free Guitar lessons

I’ve mentioned these free guitar lessons before, but there still isn’t a better place to send you!  Since 2003, a guy named Justin has created videos to add to his huge library of free online guitar lessons.  Recently, his site was updated and is much easier to browse.

These free guitar lessons are for beginners to advanced students

Justin teaches you how to play the guitar through videos.  He has over 1000 videos, from beginning level (very beginning, as in, how to hold a guitar) to higher levels.

Justin has recently begun selling songbooks, but you may take all of his guitar courses for free, without the books.  He does ask for feedback and donations in different places on the site, but donating and shopping are all on a voluntary basis.  He says, ” It’s important to me to help everyone that wants to learn to play the guitar, not just those with money to spend on tuition.” Even for the products he sells, you can contact him if you genuinely can’t afford them. Isn’t that awesome of him?

where to find the free guitar lessons

Now that the video lessons are organized, it’s really easy to find exactly which lesson you need. So simply go to JustinGuitar.com to begin learning how to play the guitar right away!

There is a lesson map that explains the order of Justin’s guitar lessons. You’ll be able to watch the video ahead of your kids, so you know what they’re learning.

interested in free ukelele lessons?

While looking through Justin’s site for this post, I stumbled upon his free ukelele lessons. I stopped browsing to send the lessons to my high schooler, who enjoys strumming on her big brother’s ukelele. Here are the free beginner ukelele lessons.

Freely Educate is written for those, like our family, who don't want the box. There are many places for "box-thinkers" to go. This place is for those who think outside the box. I hope to give you affirmation and advice on bravely choosing to educate creatively and individually. - Lori Seaborg
