If you’re teaching high school in your homeschool, you’re probably interested in teaching him or her about financial concepts It’s important to teach them about family budgeting (why wasn’t that taught in my school?!), but it’s also important to teach them how the capitalism and the free market work.

The course, Economics 101: the Principles of Free Market Economics includes the following lectures, given by two professors from Hillsdale College:

  • Free Market Economics and the American Founding
  • How Markets Work
  • Understanding Demand
  • Supply and Equilibrium
  • The Role of Profit
  • Incentive and the “Information Problem”
  • Keynesianism and Macroeconomics
  • Monetary Theory
  • Case Study: The Great Recession
  • Restoring Economic Liberty

There is also a Final Exam, which may be completed for a Certificate of Completion (not for transferable college credit, as this course is free).
