Free Math Worksheets for 1st through 5th Grades

I found a site offering free math worksheets.  It is not a pretty, modern site, but the worksheets are actually very good!

I’ve printed them off for my own homeschooled children, as supplements to their curriculum, or for times when I need them to be productively busy and they’re not thinking of something to do on their own. These math worksheets aren’t a punishment, though. They’ve started many discussions with the entire family involved, as we try to help the one completing the worksheet.

How to get the free math worksheets:

As I mentioned, the site is a bit clunky, so before I give you the links to the free math worksheets for each grade (below), here is how to access them:

  1. If you’re looking for 1st grade math worksheets, for example, go to this page. On the left side you’ll see a column of skills.
  2. Click on a skill, for example: 1A, Identify Numbers 1-5 (you’ll click on the  highlighted 1A)
  3. Click Worksheet at the top of the Skill 1A page, and you’ll have a nice, ad-free worksheet to print out.

  • Grade 3 Math Worksheets
  • Grade 4 Math Worksheets
  • Grade 5 Math Worksheets

Want to use a classical math curriculum instead?

Last month, I edited and uploaded a Free Classical Math Curriculum, Ray’s Arithmetic. It was a very popular math curriculum in the 19th century, and is used by many homeschoolers today.

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. My husband and I owned a garden center for a few years while also homeschooling. After that, I had an online business while homeschooling. We did not “only work … Read More about Balancing Homeschooling and Working From Home – a Realistic Approach

making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them. Also, it was a hassle packing up the baby and toddler to commute the school kids from two different school locations, … Read More about Going from Public School to Home School? Here’s My Advice
