Sheppard Software has dozens (and dozens!) of  free online learning games. Most lessons are in the form of online games.  The categories include math, science, vocabulary, geography, brain games, and more for all ages.

Visit Sheppard Software to see all of the free learning games they have available.

Here are some other online learning games that have been featured on Freely Homeschool:

  • Free Learning Games for Kindergarten and Elementary through Middle School
  • Live Multiplayer Math and Science Games
  • Free Learning Games for Kindergarten and Elementary
  • Free Live Online Multiplayer Learning Games (this is our family’s favorite!)

Visit our Kids’ Activities & Games category to see the full list.  A Tip from our Homeschool: I have this category bookmarked for our children, so they can go directly to it when “bored,” or when I need them to be productively busy while I’m teaching a younger child.

Gotta love the FREE sites! I have visited Sheppard. They have a great selection. We also like the games at Vocabulary Fun (http://www.vocabulary.co.il/), They are also free and are for grdes K-12 and above, as well as ESL and GRE stuff.
Another favorite site is Spelling City. They have free lessons for spelling, vocabulary, and handwriting. Great site.
    Joyfully,

Can I add something to your list of free educational sites?
Vocabulary and Spelling City offers many free activities and some educational videos. We love this site for the variety and price!
Wishing you a great new year and thanks again for helping those of us on a budget out by alerting us to what is out there.

making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them. Also, it was a hassle packing up the baby and toddler to commute the school kids from two different school locations, … Read More about Going from Public School to Home School? Here’s My Advice
