The C.S. Lewis Foundation provides free Chronicles of Narnia study guides. The educator’s guides cover vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical thinking. There are also writing and discussion prompts. Each study guide is about 70 pages long.

How to Get the Free Chronicles of Narnia Study Guides:

Visit the C.S. Lewis Foundation to download the free study guides for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe; for Prince Caspian; and for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. You’ll download a study guide (as a pdf) for each book. The guides are each about 70 pages long.

How to Get Free Chronicles of Narnia Audiobooks:

I found some wonderful Chronicles of Narnia audiobooks, read by a British lady.  You can listen to them directly from their website.

An idea: listen to the Chronicles of Narnia as a family, while working through the study guides.  Over a cup of tea.  Doesn’t that sound lovely?  I’m currently in the middle of Alice in Wonderland with our youngest. She sets up the teatime, and we enjoy taking turns reading aloud to each other. But it would be nice to have someone else (someone with a British accent) read the Chronicles of Narnia to  us, so we can focus on eating our tea and cookies.  Or, biscuits…

Freely Educate is written for those, like our family, who don't want the box. There are many places for "box-thinkers" to go. This place is for those who think outside the box. I hope to give you affirmation and advice on bravely choosing to educate creatively and individually. - Lori Seaborg
