It’s important for the younger generations to know how to program computers.  I have used W3Schools quite often over the years, when I need free coding lessons so I can do something on my sites, such as find the HTML number of a text color.  My teenager often goes to the site to grab a bit of code, and he’s using it to learn JavaScript.

Free Coding Lessons

W3 Schools offers free full tutorials on many web building and programming topics, such as learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and much more.

Don’t know what any of those mean? Don’t worry; W3Schools makes complicated topics pretty easy. They write:

Because time is valuable, we deliver quick and easy learning. At W3Schools, you can study everything you need to learn, in an accessible and handy format.

How to get the Free Coding Lessons

Code Year or W3 Schools?

We recently highlighted CodeAcademy, a site that offers  free programming, too, for those who want to create websites or games.  W3 Schools offers all of the information at once, in a searchable format.  Look at both to see which one fits your student best.

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them.
