Free College STEM Programs from MITThe Massachusetts Institute of Technology (the famous M.I.T.) offers over 2,000 of their free college STEM programs online.  Through this program, you may read through the syllabus, course materials, lecture notes, assignments, exams, videos, and more, as if you are taking a course straight from MIT (you won’t get college credit or a diploma; they are offering the knowledge only ).

“The idea is simple: to publish all of our course materials online and make them widely available to everyone.”– Yue, Professor, MIT School of Engineering

How to Get the Free College STEM Programs from MIT

Visit MITOpenCourseWare , or visit the Educator Page.

Good places to start:

  •  the Most Visited Courses
  • the Courses by Topic
  • the Newest Courses

If the student has “little or no” computer programming knowledge, look into this computer programming introductory course, that was added in Fall 2016.

Other Options:

These self-paced courses at OCW Scholar.

Also, MIT Highlights for High Schoolers site is especially for those completing high school, looking toward pursuing science degrees.

That’s great! Kids and adults can continue to develop if they have an interest…see where it takes them…
