Stairway to Grammar is a free grammar curriculum, created especially for those students who struggle with grammar.  It was created for students above 7th grade, though there is a portion of the site devoted to younger elementary students, or those new to English grammar.

There are 19 parts to the Stairway to Grammar program.  Each part is 1-3 pages long.  If you’re using this grammar program as a “refresher course,” or as a supplement to your grammar curriculum, it could be completed within a few weeks.  If you’d like, you could expand the lesson plans to complete the curriculum over a year. It’s free, and is available for immediate use.  You’ll simply open the pdf documents, then print out the lesson plans and worksheets as needed.

How to access the free grammar curriculum:

Visit the Stairway to Grammar page to access the free grammar program.

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them. Also, it was a hassle packing up the baby and toddler to commute the school kids from two different school locations, … Read More about Going from Public School to Home School? Here’s My Advice
