10 May

Beginning May 15th, Hillsdale College, a Christian university founded in 1844, is offering a course titled, “Introduction to the Constitution.”Free College Course on the US Constitution The course is free, and you’ll access it through your email. It is video-based, “in the style of teaching students experience on campus.”

Last fall, I took our three homeschooled teenagers to Washington, D.C. for their first time.  I hope to write about the trip soon – we made such good memories as we roamed the United States Capitol. We visited many historic sites, including the U.S. Capitol Building (I took this photo there). I’m going to have our 17 year old son try out this course – along with me, since I could definitely learn from it as well!

Check out the video at this link to see if the course may be a good fit for your homeschooling students.

p.s. I would love to highlight other countries, so if you have links to material (especially free material), let me know about it  by leaving a comment below.

Freely Educate is written for those, like our family, who don't want the box. There are many places for "box-thinkers" to go. This place is for those who think outside the box. I hope to give you affirmation and advice on bravely choosing to educate creatively and individually. - Lori Seaborg
