Mathematics Enhancement Programme (MEP) offers a free full math curriculum for preschoolers up to 9th grade.Free Charlotte Mason compatible Math Curriculum

MEP’s math curriculum is rather hands on, having children count real beads, for example, instead of just counting drawings on a worksheet.  I like that.  Don’t worry if you don’t have beads, by the way, beans work just as well, or marbles, or bits of wadded paper.  It’s so easy to get stuck in perfectionism!

This math curriculum is compatible with Charlotte Mason’s teachings, and is recommended by Ambleside Online.

The program also teaches how to come to the answer in a few different ways, something I wish my math education had included.

The Mathematics Enhancement Programme was developed by the Center for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching (CIMT) at the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom.  The math curriculum is currently in use in schools in the United Kingdom.

How to Learn More:  If you have questions about this program, or want support for using it, read this excellent blog post on MEP 101.  You may also want to visit the MEP Yahoo! group, where over 2,000 members are waiting to help you out.

Linda, Thanks for the feedback! It’s a bit hard, at first, to figure out
the site, but the program is excellent. ~ Lori

I have used MEP in the classroom! I did not even think about using it with my son. I taught middle school and I guess that is still what I had in mind. I really love their materials. There is a wealth of info. Some things will have to be adjusted for the US, but it is minor.
