Free Classical Sheet Music and Recordings of Classical Composers

“There ought to be but one large art warehouse in the world, to which the artist could carry his art-works and from which he could carry away whatever he needed…”  ~ Beethoven

Beethoven, your wish came true.

The following description is from Musopen: “Musopen is an online music library of copyright free (public domain) music. We want to give the world access to music without the legal hassles so common today. There is a great deal of music that has expired copyrights, but almost no recordings of this music is in the public domain. We aim to record or obtain recordings that have no copyrights so that our visitors may listen, re-use, or in any way enjoy music. Put simply, our mission is to set music free.”

Visit Musopen to print free classical sheet music, to listen to audio recordings, or to access other materials.

Here’s another site we’ve used for piano music – I love the different levels he offers:

Thanks for sharing. Here’s a site we’ve used quite a bit for free music, especially for piano. He’s also got a music theory course that I’ve looked at but haven’t offered to my kids yet.

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. My husband and I owned a garden center for a few years while also homeschooling. After that, I had an online business while homeschooling. We did not “only work … Read More about Balancing Homeschooling and Working From Home – a Realistic Approach

making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them. Also, it was a hassle packing up the baby and toddler to commute the school kids from two different school locations, … Read More about Going from Public School to Home School? Here’s My Advice
