Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish writer born on November 13th 1850.  His most memorable works were Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Classics such as these have a curious way of sparking our imaginations.  You may find the work of Robert Louis Stevenson and other classical authors for FREE , using the following links:

Free Kindle Books for Education or Homeschool

Here is Robert Louis Stevenson's page on ManyBooks.net, or click the above graphic to view the entire site.

And just for fun, here are some free books I found in French.  I have no idea what they contain, so read them before passing them onto your students.

Thank you Lori! This is a great find.
It looks like you can read it online for free but the download, because you can make notes on it, search the work and such is $3.95.

Sorry I didn’t notice that! I don’t want to advertise for them ,and reading online won’t do, so here are a couple of others (I’ll add them to the post above in a minute)….
    Project Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page
    ManyBooks.Net: http://manybooks.net/
Now I’m off to make sure they have RLStevenson books, and to update the post.
Thank you for your help, gals!
