Giveaway from All About Spelling: A FULL Spelling Curriculum! (closed)

I’m excited to have the opportunity to bless one of you with a huge package of All About Spelling’s super popular spelling curriculum.  It’s easy to enter this giveaway (just comment!).  But first, here’s what I think about the program…

All About Spelling isn’t a – yawn! – workbook method of learning spelling.   Instead, All About Spelling is a hand-on spelling program that will interest every kid in your bunch, as it has ours…

Using All About Spelling in our schoolroom

The All About Spelling program is logical and organized enough for even me to figure out and use easily with children at four different levels (grades 8, 6, 4, and 1).  The system uses letter tiles (pictured above) and flashcards to teach spelling.

Our family receives all sorts of educational products to possibly review for Freely Educate, and while we only post reviews of products that we think are good, we don’t always keep the products to use in our own little school. All About Spelling, however, definitely will be staying at home in our schoolroom.  It is solving our problem of poor spellers (they are so very phonetic!) while making the effort as painless as possible for the teacher (me).

The All About Spelling program brings together three pathways to learning – auditory (hearing), visual (seeing), and kinesthetic (touching).  This multisensory approach, combined with a built-in review system and reinforcement activities, ensures that students retain what they learn and understand how to apply it in practical situations.”

About Starting Out with Level One:  Since we are just now starting out with All About Spelling, we started even our big 13yo 7th grader in Level One.  He’s whizzing through it, as he should, but the reinforcement of the basics is good for him as well as for his 11yo, 5th grade sister.  Our 8yo (3rd grader) also is doing Level One, at a much slower pace. ~ written by me in 2009

I got three homeschooling this year and with being a homeschooling mom, a student myself and the spouse of a deployed serviceman I am looking for things that will not only help my kids with their learning but offers an easier way to get them loving to learn. I was JUST at the AAS sight, literally two seconds before I came here to search for some grammar ideas… I have been looking at this product for at least two years… After two years of public school (long LONG story) I’m finally taking a leap of faith and homeschooling my kiddo– I’m excited for many reasons–he will get the opportunity to be a happy, confident kid with Asperger’s WITHOUT getting ‘in trouble’ about it, he will get to be taught the way he learns and we finally get to try this AAS program.   277. I really need help with spelling this year. The workbook spelling program isn’t working with two of my three. They ace the tests, but fail to apply the spelling rules in other work.

  390. We started All about Spelling with our third-graders this year. It is the very very best spelling program we have ever had. Marie Rippel has done all the work — down to the smallest details — to make this spelling program easy to use and FUN. The kids love to apply the rules and put the Rule Breakers in Jail! And they moved through two levels this year. Can’t wait to tackle Level Three (after some review) when school starts, and we would love another set of Level One to use with the first and second graders!!! It’s the best!

  404. WOW! This would be a blessing! I have breast cancer and am not working while I go through surgery, chemo and radiation. We have gone through entire savings and are relying on others to give ideas on how to homeschool my 2 boys this year without money! And I thought money was tight last year! So far we are just going to underline and look up words we dont know from our books we already have from my oldest son that graduated this year. But it would be so nice to have an actual program so I can rate their progress and know they are learning. (For my homeschool hating relatives too!)   509. Only frustation is level 2 is expensive. Level 1’s price is good and then you get hooked and Level 2 is expensive.
