Free Chronicles of Narnia Audiobooks (high quality ones!)

I know sites full of classical audiobooks are a dime a dozen these days (er, free a dozen), but this series of Chronicles of Narnia readings is well worth a mention.  Dr.  Chrissy Hart has a beautiful British accent and reads the series just as you’d wish them read to you and your students.  There are 58 episodes on the site, all available as free downloads.

Rachel, a FreelyEducate.com reader, recommended this freebie to us.  She wrote, “I’m not sure if you’re familiar with this site, but Ancient Faith Radio has audio readings from the Chronicles of Narnia and other classics. They’re wonderfully done and thought I’d pass it along. ~ Rachel”

How to Get This Freebie:  Listen to or Download the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis readings

My husband bought the download of the final battle from Audible. Nice to know it’s available for free and we don’t have to pay for the entire thing for the kids. We listened on a road trip with the kids, it was read by Patrick Stewart. He got the last book because he thought I’d know what’s going on. I read the series when I was 11. I don’t quite remember that well. When I listened, it all seemed so new! But still, I loved it!

No end surprised to see this posted ! (I am Eastern Orthodox, and Ancient Faith Radio is an Orthodox Christian website.) We own the BBC CD set for “Narnia”, so it will be very interesting to compare this version. Thanks, Rachel !

Will there be a completion of The Last Battle, as it only seems to have been done through Chapter 7.

Thanks for writing, Linda.  I think only the producers could answer that.  Let us know, if you would, when you find out something.  Anyone else know?

The rest of “The Last Battle” is there, now, however the very last chapter may or may not be included at that link. If such is the case, please see http://ancientfaith.com/podcasts/grapevine/narnia_the_last_battle_16_conclusion
    for the last chapter.
