5GB of Free Cloud Storage

good deals

29 Mar

I spent a couple of hours this morning shopping for “cloud” storage (storage online for my photos, documents, and music).  This afternoon, I saw that Amazon launched a new service today called Amazon Cloud Drive.  They’re giving us 5GB of free storage just for trying it out!

For the teacher & homeschooler, this is a nice way to save documents that you want to access from any computer connection:  on your iTouch, iPhone, iPad, Droid, the library (or work) computer, or any other computer with an internet connection.  That’s very convenient!  It’s also a great place to store files safe from fires,  theft or (sigh) broken computers.   I’m still heartbroken over losing a  year’s worth of photos once, so I take storage so seriously!  I’m very excited to find such a great deal and wanted to share it with you.

Cloud

How to Get this Freebie:  Visit Amazon Cloud.  You’ll receive 5GB of storage for free.  Future Amazon mp3 purchases do not count toward your cloud storage allotment.  More storage may be purchased starting at $20/year (that’s inexpensive, according to the research I did this morning with comparative plans).

I’ve never tried drop box but I’ve seen it mentioned a few times in relation to this Amazon service which to me could be real gold. Amazon is very much turned into integration of all their services so I am certain that this particular service will improve over time. I’m definitely going to try it out since I spend a lot of money and time on Amazon’s site anyway. Plus it’ll be nice to have access to music over my phone.

Wish the cloud would auto categorize your music into folders

Freely Educate is written for those, like our family, who don't want the box. There are many places for "box-thinkers" to go. This place is for those who think outside the box. I hope to give you affirmation and advice on bravely choosing to educate creatively and individually. - Lori Seaborg
