free lego education magazine for teachers students schools

LEGO® Education and LEGO Club are proud to offer your school (see below for homeschoolers*)the opportunity to share exclusive LEGO Club School Edition Magazines with your first-, second-, and third-grade students, for FREE!

These special publications continue the LEGO philosophy of providing children with products and toys that promote imagination, pique curiosity, and enhance learning. Both editions focus on the mysterious world beneath the sea, with its amazing creatures and incredible discoveries still to be made.

The exclusive LEGO Club Magazines will be available to students in two versions. LEGO Club Jr. Edition is designed especially for first graders, and the LEGO Club Magazine – School Edition is for students in Grades 2-3.

Both versions feature fun comics, activities, and building ideas designed around the underwater theme and focusing on basic reading, math, and critical -reasoning skills.

In addition, exclusive LEGO Education Teacher’s Guides will be sent with each LEGO Club Magazine order. The guides are filled with hands-on activities, classroom tidbits, and articles about how you can create a LEGO Smart classroom for your students!

Explore the depths of the ocean with this FREE offer from LEGO Education and LEGO Club! Visit Lego Education to submit your order today!

Orders will be processed weekly. Shipment of items will begin in January 2010. Magazines are packaged in groups of 50, 100, and 200 for easier distribution. You may order for your class, your grade, or your school. Any specific ordering or delivery directions should be noted in the Comment section of the order form. reading, math, and critical -reasoning skills.

In addition, exclusive LEGO Education Teacher’s Guides will be sent with each LEGO Club Magazine order. The guides are filled with hands-on activities, classroom tidbits, and articles about how you can create a LEGO Smart classroom for your students!

Homeschoolers Note from FreelyEducate.com :  While you are welcome to order through the above link, the minimum quantity is 50 magazines.  You can order the free magazines (both Jr. and the magazine for older kids) at this link in smaller quantities.  It’s not the “school edition,” so it won’t have a teacher guide with it (I’m not sure if there is any other difference).

Hopefully people won’t sign up for this unless they actually have a reason to get at least 50 copies of these magazines, which I wouldn’t think that most homeschoolers would.

Good point, Gigi…I hope I made it clear enough on the posting that this is for schools by putting that in the title and using bold on the quantities.  Since FreelyEducate.com is for all educators, I highlight freebies that may be useful only to a specific group of you, but try to find something for everyone as often as I can.

I couldn't take the time to research it when I wrote the post, but I do think you can order individual copies from Lego.  Our boys receive the magazines in the mail, although I don't know how we initially started that subscription (but I do know it was free!).

    Thanks for writing, Gigi!

Thanks for this! Believe it or not, my girls have just discovered the joys of LEGOs at the ages of 11 and 12. They’ll be excited when the first issue arrives in the mail. 🙂

Freely Educate is written for those, like our family, who don't want the box. There are many places for "box-thinkers" to go. This place is for those who think outside the box. I hope to give you affirmation and advice on bravely choosing to educate creatively and individually. - Lori Seaborg
