GIVEAWAY! The Beehive Reader and a Box of Chocolates! (closed)

giveaways

28 Apr

Do you remember All About Spelling, the spelling curriculum that was highlighted here on Freely Educate a couple of months ago?  Well, they just released a new book to go along with All About Spelling's Level One.  The new book is called the Beehive Reader 1, and it is beautiful…

The Beehive Reader for All About Spelling's Level One

Here is a look at the front of the book (because we all know it's such a myth that we don't judge a book by its cover!):

The Beehive Reader book for All About Spelling's Level One

The Beehive Reader 1 is a 160-page book that correlates with the All About Spelling Level One curriculum, but it does not have to be used with this curriculum.  You may simply want to enjoy the Beehive Reader 1 as part of your library.

Visit the Beehive Reader 1 page to view samples of the book and to view the (glowing!) comments about it.

Do you want one for free?  One blessed winner will receive the Beehive Reader 1 and …

Beehive reader chocolates

…and chocolates! I am so jealous  I can't be the winner of this giveaway!  These are not just any chocolates.  These chocolates are hand-dipped with rich, creamy European Chocolate.  Not only that, but the box is illustrated by one of the two artists who illustrated the Beehive Reader 1.
We're giving away one Beehive Reader 1 book and a box of (awesome!) chocolates to one of you.  Lucky, lucky you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This time, you may enter more than once!  You get one entry per comment, but you may comment more than once by…
  1. Just leave a comment, saying you want one. That's easy!
  2. Visit All About Spelling, click on Articles (top of the home page), then come back here and tell us which of their article titles sound most helpful to what you're facing in your school….or visit the Beehive Reader 1 page, click on Samples, and come back here with the name of one of the characters in the book.  That's easy!
  3. Blog about this giveaway on your blog or website or Twitter or Facebook it, then come back here and leave a link to the blog post, site URL, tweet or Facebook page.
That's 3 ways to increase your chances of winning!  You can enter up to 3 times.  But, remember, you need to enter 3 separate times, because that makes it much easier for me to count up entries when I go to Random. org to select the winner.
More Rules, sigh:
  • Click on "Comments" below* to leave your comment and other entries (separately, remember)
  • The form will ask for your email address but only I will see it.  Promise.  And I never, ever spam
  • One winner will be selected randomly from the entries (comments) through Random.org's random number generator
  • US entries only (head ducking; I'm sorry!)
  • Deadline:  Friday, May 1st, midnight CST ( as in, 11:59pm)
Comment away!  Who wants one?  Besides me, that is.
Updated May 2nd…The winner is…
    The “Does Invented Spelling Have It’s Place?” article is useful for me. My DD has spent a year in public school where they encourage them to spell however they want and it has caused us a lot of problems.
    I have looked at All About Spelling articles in the past, but today took time to read the “What Doesn’t Work in Teaching Spelling” article again and it reminded me of why I love AAS so much! I appreciate that the publisher has taken time to research so many spelling programs, and it helped me to look back and see what we may have done in the past that didn’t work so well.
