GIVEAWAY! A Way to Learn about Health (closed)

giveaways

8 Jan

I grew up in the Twinkie generation.  Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Coca-Cola….whatever was really, really bad for us, but tasted oh, so good, our generation ate.

Now, we're parents.  Parents and educators who have grown up and know enough to know that we probably shouldn't blindly trust food manufacturers to fill the box with nutritional gold.

We know that much – we know we should be feeding our children and students better, and we know that we should teach them about nutrition so they don't feed their children Twinkies and Ding Dongs,  but nutrition is overwhelming.  How do we start?

A year or so ago, I purchased the Supermom's Simple Guide for Healthier Eating.  Without requiring me to eat tofu (not judging, if that's your thang) or learn to like hummus, Supermom encouraged me to just make a change, even if just a wee little change, and build on that.

She suggests foods we should eat but she also is not really a Supermom (it's okay, she knows), so she knows that change is hard to stomach, especially for children who have only known unhealthier options.  Baby steps are okay with Supermom.

The other day I rediscovered Supermom through Twitter and emailed her right away to ask if she had anything to offer you all as a giveaway.  I happen to think "Health" should be high on the list of educational priorities.  I'm happy to let you know that…

…One of you will get both of Supermom's healthy ebooks….

Supermom's Simple Guide to Healthier Eating for Beginners and Beyond

and

Supermom's Simple Guide to Super Salads

To enter this giveaway for the above two ebooks, just leave a comment saying you'd like one.  Yay, you can even be from anywhere, since the ebook is virtual (a link will be emailed to the winner).

If you want to enter twice, leave me a link to a Facebook, blog post, or Twitter that you wrote/sent about this giveaway, then come back and comment again with the link.

Deadline:

Midnight CST (11:59pm) on Saturday, January 10th, 2009.
