Have Phun with Physics

science

30 Jan

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist that title.  Phun is a "2D physics sandbox" where your students can have fun while learning.

phun

The creators of Phun describe the program like this:

Great for kids

Phun is a fantastic toy for children, where they can learn and
appreciate physics, science and simulations in an open ended gameplay
with rich creative and artistic freedom, including colorful freehand
drawing.

Tina, a FreelyEducate.com reader, sent in the link to Phun. She said she appreciates why the creators are keeping Phun free: "We want to keep Phun freely available for non-commercial use, since
we think and hope that Phun can make a difference in promoting science
and art to the masses, in particular children and young people, through
a
constructionists learning paradigm."

phun by you.

Thank you, Tina, for sharing this high quality, 100% free, educational find with us!

The joke is on me ! I am going to have to invest some time in learning how to use this program. It is NOT “intuitively obvious”. So I’m waiting until I have enough computer time without encroaching on my college boy’s needs for the Internet. (. . . Baci to FMSLogo, which is much easier !)

Balancing Homeschooling while Working From Home

At times, well-intentioned advice suggests that dedicating an entire day to homeschooling leaves no room for a job during regular hours. This is not necessarily so. My husband and I owned a garden center for a few years while also homeschooling. After that, I had an online business while homeschooling. We did not “only work … Read More about Balancing Homeschooling and Working From Home – a Realistic Approach

making the transition from public school to homeschool

We did what you’re doing, or thinking about doing. Our eldest two went to public school in our little town, and it was just fine, we didn’t have any problems, but I missed them. Also, it was a hassle packing up the baby and toddler to commute the school kids from two different school locations, … Read More about Going from Public School to Home School? Here’s My Advice
